Hospital Procedures
You have been scheduled for a hospital procedure by your physician. During your visit we want you to be informed and comfortable. Please take a few moments to read the information contained on our Web site to help answer any questions or concerns you may have. The following procedures are performed at designated area hospitals.
- Angiography (Angiogram)
- Cardioversion
- Cardiac (Heart) Catheterization
- Electrophysiology (EP) Studies
- ICD Insertion
- Pacemaker Insertion
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary (balloon) Angiography (PTCA)
- Radiofrequency Ablation
- Stent Procedure- Coronary and Peripheral
- Transesophageal Echocardiography(TEE)
- Tilt Table Study
- Peripheral Vascular Studies
General Instructions:
- Nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before your procedure.
- Ask a family member or friend to provide your transportation.
- Bring your current insurance cards
- Bring an overnight bag in the event you remain in the hospital.
- Bring a list of your medications and doses.
If you are taking any blood thinners such as Coumadin, Warfarin, Plavix or Aspirin, please call the Hospital Scheduler for further instructions to avoid a delay or cancellation of your procedure.
